VirtualHostX 8.7.8

Description

VirtualHostX is the easiest way to host and share multiple websites on your Mac. It’s the perfect solution for web designers working on more than one project at a time. With VirtualHostX you can easily create and manage unlimited Apache websites with just a few clicks.

What's New Version 8.7.8

Lots of good fixes in this update.
  • Clicking the VirtualHostX icon in the Dock, or activating the app with Spotlight or another launcher app like Alfred, re-opens the Main Window.
  • Added a "real" Close button to the Welcome and About windows. This lets you dismiss them with ⌘W. Previously, you had to click the little close button in the corner, which was annoying.
  • Added better looking and more descriptive icons to the Welcome Window.
  • You can now run the Welcome Window steps in any order - even if the app detects a helper app is already installed.
  • The app is smarter about detecting which port the web server is running on.
  • The VirtualBox and Vagrant installers are now downloaded from our own CDN instead of Amazon S3. This should speed up the download times.
  • When you choose the "Update Box..." command, VirtualHostX will ask if you also want to rebuild your virtual machine to pick up the new changes.
  • When picking a Local Path or Web Root directory, we validate their paths to make sure they're valid. For example, this prevents you from picking a Web Root that isn't contained somewhere inside your Local Path.
  • If you cancel an Administrator password prompt, we now abort all subsequent actions
